Code of Conduct

Loving Cats Worldwide® Catstravaganza® Code of Conduct

For all affiliates representing LCWW (friends, fans, judges, businesses, chartered clubs, exhibitors and breeders):

  • I will conduct myself professionally at all times, whether at an event or online while representing LCWW Group (Loving Cats Worldwide and The Meserve Foundation).
  • I will not speak poorly of LCWW Group or any of the Director, Managers, Staff, Officers or Members in person or online
  • I understand the “open door policy” and can address an issue in private to the Director, Managers or Officers
  • All of my cats in exhibition will be properly vaccinated, flea treated and in top condition for the show
  • I will care for my cats in the highest level available ensuring a high-quality diet and proper veterinary care at all times
  • I will actively engage the public at events and online encouraging them to join LCWW Group
  • I will do my best to represent LCWW Group and the entire cat fancy with the upmost pride and professionalism

Breeders Code of Conduct:

  • I will only breed with the intention of improving my breed
  • I will make the best choices when considering a mating pair
  • All my cats are kept indoors or in a supervised and secure outdoor space
  • I will actively test and keep record of any breed specific genetic problems (HCM, PKD, etc.)
  • All my cats are kept in adequate and clean space
  • I will not breed my females more than is necessary for the health of the cat and recommend no more than 3 times in a 24-month period
  • All my cats are up to date on vaccinations and seen by a veterinarian a minimum of one time per year
  • All kittens or cats will be matched with the best possible owners and I will aim to keep contact once per year
  • I will interview all prospective owners and ensure the environment is perfect
  • I will collect a kitten or cat back from the owner with a no questions asked policy
  • I will be available to new kitten or cat owners for the life of the kitten or cat
  • All my kittens or cats are placed with a contract and guarantee on health for at least 7 days and a guarantee of genetic issues for a minimum of 1 year
  • I will not place a kitten until a minimum of 13 weeks, one week after the second vaccination
  • I will place kittens with all veterinary paperwork and a minimum of a 3-generation pedigree
  • I will aim to neuter or spay all kittens or cats before placement OR I will withhold TICA/LCWW Group paperwork until confirmation
  • If I sell a breeding cat, I will mentor the new owner for life
  • I will seek help to LCWW Group if I feel at any time that I may be overwhelmed and the health of my cats may be affected without fear of any public shame or retaliation

 

I understand that any violation of any of the above may result in a revoking of being in any way associated with LCWW, permanently. Services will be banned for any individual not adhering to our code of conduct, without refund and without a hearing, at the discretion of the FFAP.
